Who has it and how experienced with it would you say you are?

Me....I'm still very new to the whole thing, but i've got a general feel of how everything works.

I gave up on illustrator. I know the basics of it, but I would rather use photoshop any day.

Well if you're going to use Illy regularly you should probably get a tablet... you should probably get a tablet anyway.

I'm pretty experienced with Illustrator. I had to watch hours of video tutorials though Then I figured everything else on my own. I have experience with Flash, and they use the same pentool/colour/object system.

If you don't get interest on the program you'll never be able to use it correctly and create something you like.
Its about dedication and experimenting.

What he said, I've been fooling around with illy for last week now, it has some handy things to help me in my LP's... But im to used to PS so I automaticly say, FUK U ILLY IMA Go back to PS xD

I have a wacom tablet and it doesn't make illustrator any less friendly towards me it makes PS although.

yea i have a wacom tablet too i tried illustrator it made it a little easier but not as much as ps

Illustrator is awesome but sort of hard to use unless you have a tablet. But if you don't . You have to practice a lot and eventually you'll get it.

Illustrator is a very slow slow process for me.. and it doesn't help that I start new projects before I finish old ones. It would help a great deal if I had a tablet, but alas, I shall have to stick to my mouse and pentool.

Lol i do most of my work with pentool. . . . .and i got illy opened it and picked up my pen and tried using it but its gay ass complicated =\. . . . . . wish someone could make a tut. . .

that pretty much closed the deal for me, which is why i use it all the time. shit, i use all my cs3 programs on a daily basis.
